Turnip Fries

Turnips are a great vegetable substitute where potatoes would normally be used.  If you are following a low carb diet, you will love to use this recipe without deviating from your plan.

You can use turnips in any recipe where potatoes are usually used.

Go WILD!!!

Turnip Fries

  • 1 or 2 Turnip
  • a dash Black Pepper
  • a dash Garlic Powder
  • a dash Oregano
  • a dash Parsley
  • a dash Himalayan salt (optional)
  • Parchment paper
  • 1/2 tsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F

  2. Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet pan.

  3. Cut turnips and place them in a bowl.

  4. Add oil and seasonings to the bowl and mix.

  5. Spread the turnip on the baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 45 mins or more. I like them really crispy so they cooked for about an hr. You would want to flip them half way through.

  7. ENJOY!
